Equipment
Airplane
Both our Twin Otter and Cessna Caravan aircraft provide enough space in the baggage compartment to store wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. Motorized wheelchairs can be stored if space allows; however collapsible wheelchairs are recommended when possible. For loading purposes, please relay to staff if your motorized wheelchair uses a wet or dry battery at time of booking. Passengers will be informed at check-in if space limitations prohibit the transportation of their wheelchair. Passengers requiring boarding assistance must have a companion present to help. For passenger safety, our staff cannot assist in boarding or disembarking an aircraft unless in case of emergency. Passengers must be able to use airplane seat during flight.
Helicopter
Our helicopters can stow collapsible wheelchairs with detachable wheels and other compact mobility equipment. Motorized wheelchairs are not permitted onboard the helicopters. Be advised that for passenger safety, our staff cannot assist in boarding or disembarking an aircraft except in cases of emergency. Passengers must be able to use aircraft seat during flight.
Bus
With 3-day advance notice, our luxury motorcoaches can be fully-equipped with wheelchair access doors and ample wheelchair space. Be advised that for passenger safety, our staff cannot assist in boarding or disembarking a motorcoach except in cases of emergency. Passengers requiring assistance boarding must have companion present to help.

Terminals
Each of our terminals are fully prepared to accommodate guests requiring extra assistance, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment. All locations are furnished with a paved entryway and boarding area, ample space in our lounges and seating areas, ramps, and accessible restrooms. Our terminals in Boulder City, Grand Canyon West, and Grand Canyon South, the locations of our most popular tours, are equipped with either a lift or a boarding ramp for easy entry and disembarking of the aircraft.

Can your helicopters hold wheelchairs?
Yes, our helicopters can stow collapsible wheelchairs with detachable wheels and other compact mobility equipment. Motorized wheelchairs are not permitted onboard. We advise that passengers requiring wheelchairs call our reservations department at 702-736-7243 before their tour, as some flights may have space available for storage while others may not.
Do you allow service animals on the aircraft during Grand Canyon tours?
We make every effort to provide transportation for service animals on our flights. The service animal must have paper certification and a harness, and must be able to fit in a proper kennel under the seat which is limited in space. (8 inches high and 14 inches wide). Service animals may be accommodated based on space availability, size of the service animal, or passenger capacity. Please reach out to our reservations department before booking your Grand Canyon tour at 702-736-7243 for more information about accommodating your service animal. It is important that we are aware of your animal in advance so our pilots and crew can properly prepare.
Comfort animals or pets are not permitted aboard the aircraft and are not allowed at the Grand Canyon West Rim.
Can I take a tour if I’m pregnant?
Yes, you can enjoy a Grand Canyon tour while pregnant; however we highly recommend consulting with your doctor before booking. We also advise you to call our reservations team at 702-736-7243 so we can prepare any necessary accomodations in advance.
Can we bring an oxygen tank in your helicopter?
No oxygen tanks are permitted inside any aircraft, whether helicopters or airplanes. Oxygen concentrators can be accommodated as long as the FAA approval is displayed on the bottom of it.
If I’m on crutches, can I take the crutches with me on the aircraft?
Yes, our aircraft can store crutches during your flight. Be advised that the terrain at the Grand Canyon West is rugged and slightly rocky, whereas the walkways and paths are mostly paved at the Grand Canyon National Park.
Can I bring a cane with me on the aircraft?
Yes, you can! Our passengers requiring the use of a cane may bring theirs with them during their flight to the Grand Canyon. We advise that you call our reservations department ahead of time at 702-736-7243 so that our team can ask any additional questions to prepare for your reservation.
Are there stairs to reach the doors of the helicopter or airplane?
There are stairs used to board the aircraft: the helicopter has two steps approximately 18 inches high to reach the door. The Twin Otter airplane uses a staircase containing seven steps and the Cessna Caravan's staircase is 5 steps. If stairs affect your mobility, please reach out to our reservations department at 702-736-7243 in advance so we can make all accommodations possible for your tour.
